Caricature for a 40th birthday present

When drawing caricatures you have to choose a point on the spectrum of exaggeration from which to work. Generally I go harder on people I know and politicians. This is one I did for someone I know. Happy Birthday Gavin!

A Birthday Present!

This is a mate of mine who turned 30 yesterday. He had one of the best reactions I’ve ever seen: he smiled, then giggled, then said thanks, then giggled again, then laughed and laughed at it for ages.
I remember 30 as if it were only 3 years ago.
