I just upgraded to Wordpress 2.5 and it seems to have gone ok. If you’re running an earlier version you should update now because many blogs running earlier versions are getting hacked.
My host Blacknight has a nice server side installer called Installatron, which made backing up and installing very easy.
As for the decor: the new interface is gack.
Apparently Matt Buck had this animation out within minutes of Gordon Brown’s speech yesterday. As a cartoonist I find that fascinating: the internet and specifically blogging have condensed the reaction time to events even for political cartoonists. And it’s no mean feat either, it’s a full-on flash animation rather than a static image.
Great, more pressure!
I’m liking Irish Blog’s new look. I especially like the grouping of related posts. That should give newer blogs a chance to get a bit of vicarious coverage from appearing next to some of the more established ones.
