Corporate Entertainment in Wicklow!

Here’s a couple of pics from a corporate Christmas party I was entertaining at in the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Enniskerry in December. The company is an American trading firm based in Dublin, and I was very generous, giving all kinds of tips to my sitters- buy low sell high, gold is always a good investment, stay away from property at the moment, that sort of thing. Ever since I saw Trading Places I’ve had this incredible insight into how the markets work.

Last Saturday and Sunday I drew somewhere in the region of 180 kids at the Boston Scientific kids parties. Stiff shouldered afterwards but the smiles were worth it!

Rick lets one off. Una’s too polite to mention it. Fire alarm goes off.

I happened to be in Dublin as I’d a couple of gigs. It was eventful. I was drawing caricatures at Legal Island’s review of employment law and Wyeth’s HR Department’s Christmas party. Great craic and met lots of nice people. Going to Soundcheck was another plus.
The cons were, in order:
My car engine died. I’m waiting on a new engine. I’m in Galway. My car is in Terenure.
My shades broke.
The pants of my suit ripped up the side.
I always balance these little trials by counting my fingers and toes. All present and accounted for.

Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year, and the associated throbbing in the temples has started to fade! Well January has got off to a busy start, yesterday I spent the day with MBNA (Bank of America) in Carrick-On-Shannon as they welcomed back their staff after the holidays. I’ve some photos from the day that I’ll post in a while. I’ve a backlog of stuff I want to post from December, so you should see a good few posts in the next few days.

Above is the artwork I did for Kennys‘ Christmas card featuring all the staff from the Gallery. Tom was adamant that he wasn’t to be Santa so I made him one of the elves!
