I’m opening Boz Mugabe‘s exhibition, Premonitions of Encroachment, tomorrow Friday 9th of January at 6pm in the Town Hall Theatre, Galway. You might have seen Boz’s work in the Evening Herald, where he illustrates Con Houlihan’s column.
Boz is a wicked cartoonist, and his painted work looks absolutely amazing. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh tomorrow night. If you can make it do pop in for a look, and even a purchase.
Dean Kelly’s first solo show, modus operandi?, opens this Friday in Kenny’s Gallery, Galway. I’ve known Dean since college in ’94, and I’ve watched his work develop. I think he’s on the cusp of becoming an important painter and I also think he’s going to be a big seller (his graduation show sold out in 1997).
