They're done in Photoshop and take several hours.
Glad you're expending your energies usefully by expressing your ignorance here.

I'm guessing from your righteous indignation that you kept the money! I’m only surprised you haven’t told everyone it took you weeks to create this stunning image rather than using one of the free apps to convert a photo in 2 seconds!!

By the way found this post when looking for information on the Folkestone Hospice and I think you and your online fan club here need to get a life and expend your energy on more important things.

He was selling my work as his own. That's indisputable. The fact that he changed his story on sales means I don't trust his word. The onus was on him to make sure he was selling original work.
Banksy appropriates images and makes them his own. John Cotter is deriving works from Banksy's appropriation. At the very least, it's artistically lame-ass.

I know of this guy as he helped a friend of mine by paying for all his artwork for a exhibition in the street where his gallery is.
Not sure what to make of it all. i don't think its right to take work and pass it off as your own, but maybe he is telling the truth?
By the way if we are going to start talking about Banksy... please he nicks everyones work..

And Jim Fitzpatrick?! Good grief.

He's still at it on his new website, as far as I can see. I was looking around there and his Celebrity Soup picture caught my eye - I knew I'd seen it somewhere before, and I have. It's an almost direct rip of another one by Banksy called Discount Soup Can that he smuggled into the MOMA in 2005.

Frankly it looks like he pulled a copy of it, did some shoddy Photoshop work to change the text, and dropped in a background. The actual can itself is identical to Banksy's and doesn't match the more famous Andy Warhol one.

This guy's a hack.
