My digital caricatures introduced last year are proving very popular as an engagement present from friends! I started doing them as a pivot (as they say) in response to the pandemic effectively closing me down for months and they’re going down very well! They’re drawn in Procreate and delivered straight into your inbox where you can have it printed yourself or gift it virtually as a jpeg. Through email they can go anywhere in the world so you don’t have to worry about sluggish international post or container ships getting stuck in the Suez Canal! The couple above are pictured on their favourite beach with their pet dog. They’re wearing Carlow and Waterford GAA jerseys and there’s musical references with a guitar and Beyonce!
Definitely not the droid you’re looking for.
Just say what you see folks. Out loud. No say it again. Nearly. Try again. There ya go! (I’m trying to do a weekly cartoon on a Friday so here’s this week’s cartoon, on Saturday. Deadlines!)
This personalised caricature was a leaving gift from the subject’s colleagues in Paddy Power. I create my personalised caricatures from photos, and the customer sends me a list of the details they’d like included. Here you can see various references related to his workplace including a globe of the world in the background and a Paddy Power shopfront. As my caricatures are hand drawn you can have the subject in whatever pose you like with whatever details you’d like included, each caricature is unique to your requirements, including lucky underpants! The customer went for my framed option for this caricature which you can see below:
The customer left me a brilliant review:
Allan delivered a superb drawing against a challenging timeline, delivery was earlier than I even expected. The team are delighted with the finished article which is a present for someone leaving the company. I would certainly recommend Allan’s work.
This retirement caricature went to the UK earlier this year. It’s the second piece I created for GB Fleetcare for a retirement, it’s nice to have a repeat customer! The subject of this piece flew in a World War II Spitfire for his 60th birthday so he’s got his flight suit on with the Spitfire in the background. There’s some very specific references to too, such as a Velosolex bike and a Piaggio trike, and an Italian flag on the flipchart! He’s got an allotment so I included a bag of fertiliser to symbolise that. He’s also very into drone flying so that’s included too! There’s also a Tesco truck in the background and he’s into fishing so he’s also holding a fishing rod!
