Cork Wedding Entertainment: Talbot Hotel Midleton Wedding!

Cork Wedding Entertainment: the last time I was in Midleton for a wedding it was the Midleton Park Hotel, which has now been rebranded under the Talbot hotel chain as the Talbot Hotel Midleton! Right from the moment the guests arrived at 3pm I had sitters and a queue, which is always my favourite situation! I set up near the main door into the reception area with my easel, roller display, and three seats.

I had my sitters positioned so the queue could see what I was doing but my sitters couldn’t, so there was a lot of “commentary” from the audience while I was drawing! That just creates the ideal atmosphere for my particular type of art creation, and I got many disbelieving comments about how fast I can draw! I am a bit of a machine when I get going: I can draw two people in under 4 minutes! I had a couple of sets of 4 with the bridal party and groomsmen and they take a little longer but I managed to keep their attention I hope, and the drawings got a great reaction altogether!

“Great craic. My cousin had this entertainment for her wedding reception 10 years ago & I loved it. So when our big day came up we knew we had to have it too. All our guests got involved and we went for the 3 hour package as it was a good deal and meant more of our guest could be drawn. He even put our 2 children into the picture with myself & my husband which we really appreciated. Pictures are so realistic & ours is going straight into a frame after our honeymoon.”

A lovely gesture from the couple was a little gift bag that included a personalised glass with my name on it! Such a thoughtful thing to do, and I was delighted with it! I haven’t “christened” it yet but I do have something cold in the fridge waiting to go!
