How much does a caricature artist cost for live events? Read below for my prices for live wedding caricatures! (For corporate events, hens and other events drop me a line directly.)
A caricature artist at your wedding will have your guests in stitches during your drinks reception and they’ll be talking about it for weeks afterwords! Please read on for details and prices!
I’m Allan Cavanagh and I’ve been drawing caricatures for nearly two decades all over Ireland. You can read some testimonials here.
My live caricatures are very fast, taking around 3 minutes for one face or 4 minutes for a couple. I like to try and shave a couple of seconds off my drawing time every year!
The paper I use is 200gsm A3 white cartridge, each sheet is elegantly printed with your names and the date of your wedding. Each drawing is rolled and fastened, and presented to your guests on completion. Your guests will have a great laugh and the caricature drawing is a wonderful fun memento of your big day!
For the drinks reception I charge the following rates:
2 hours: starting from €450
3 hours: starting from €600
There is a €100 deposit with the balance due the week before the wedding.

Like everything else you should always do a little research before booking an artist. A good artist will have dozens if not hundreds of recent examples of their live wedding caricature work easily found online. Search for relevant keywords, such as “caricature artist for weddings”, to see if you can find examples of their work. If you can’t find their live work, don’t book ’em! For example I have hundreds of samples on this website, and I currently have over a hundred 5 star recommendations in Google reviews (and rising!) A good caricature artist should have easily found recommendations from real people. Each one of my reviews comes from couples whose weddings I’ve drawn at, corporate clients, or individuals I’ve drawn commissioned caricatures for. Have a look!
