Mount Druid Wedding: well that wasn’t so much a wedding as a festival! I had forgotten the span of the grounds in Mount Druid Alternative Wedding Venue, and just when I thought I’d arrived, there was further to go! I had pulled up at the main venue where the dinner was going to be later, but the drinks reception took place in the Boat House, a lovely wee quirky lakeside venue. It was a bit like being at the Electric Picnic, I took a few wrong turns on the way down and ended up in a little yurt village, and passed a double decker bus that’s possibly it’s own venue too (I could picture a DJ playing to a tightly packed two decks). I eventually found the warm and cosy Boat House venue and set up. There were no shrinking violets among those guests, as soon as they arrived I had a queue, and the craic was great!
