Brittany Dog Breed: Drawing Every Dog is a new feature I’ll be updating from time to time. This week it’s the turn of the Brittany, who’s next in the book after Bracco Italiano. Also known as the Brittany Spaniel and the Épagneul Français, the breed most likely came from Spain. It’s a highly popular breed in France. In the previous post on the Bracco Italiano I explain the background to this project; in short the internet has been polluted beyond repair for finding good reference material so I’m going back to books, in this case the Brittany Dog Breed from The Encyclopedia of Dog Breeds by Juliette Cunliffe.
