Here’s a caricature I did last week for a 70th birthday present. It’s a photo rather than a scan so there’s a bit of shadow on it at the top there. I had fun researching the tractor, I used to know a lot of tractors when I was a kid!
You can’t beat the aul’ golf for the caricatures! These guys play each other for wine, and the chap on the left apparently owes somewhere in the region of a vineyard at this stage!
This is a retirement present I did for the Very Reverend Patrick Towers, Rector of St Nicholas’ Church Galway.
Here’s one I did recently for a 50th birthday present. Went down really well too!
When drawing caricatures you have to choose a point on the spectrum of exaggeration from which to work. Generally I go harder on people I know and politicians. This is one I did for someone I know. Happy Birthday Gavin! !
