End of term gifts for favourite teachers: these are a couple of my teacher thank you gift caricatures drawn for a couple of teachers as a thank you from their classes. The gentleman above is pictued in his trademark shorts with references to the sports he loves: he’s wearing a Galway GAA t-shirt, has a hurl trimmed with the Galway colours, has his foot on a soccer football with the Liverpool FC logo on it, and is holding a golf club, with a sliothar and golf ball near his feet. This was organised by a parent on behalf of the class and I understand they were delighted with the end result!

This caricature actually went from Ireland to Scotland through the power of email! It was again ordered for the pictured teacher as a thank you gift from her class. It features the teacher in a green dress in front of a ScotRail train and some school children, with a wooden heart containing the school crest with the inscription “Love one another”. The UNCRC Article 31 is also quoted: “You have the right to relax and play”.
I love doing these end of year teacher gifts because you know this is an individual teacher who has put their heart and soul into looking after their class that year and their pupils are so grateful they want to recognise what this teacher has meant to them. My caricatures are a great way of expressing this through humour and specific, tailored references to each teacher.
