I was struck by this accidental juxtaposition of old and new last night in Neachtains. This year’s Clifden Arts Festival programme with the stunning artwork by Hetty Lawlor next to the legendary Galway Arts Festival posters of Joe Boske. Great to see the tradition of magical surreal painting alive and well in the next generation of Irish painters.
