Salthill Swimmer Gift Caricature: one of the staples of a visit to Salthill in Galway is a walk along the Prom (otherwise known as The Golden Mile). When you come to the diving boards at the end of the Prom you’ll see swimmers going in no matter the temperature or conditions (short of a hurricane!). This caricature drawing was a birthday gift for one of this close-knit community of Galway residents, featuring this sea swimmer in his signature red Dryrobe swimming robe, gloves and footwear. He’s pictured on the peeble-covered beach on a pretty cold looking day, but as you can see from the big smile that’s not damping his spirits at all!
