Tralee wedding entertainment in Ballyseede Castle Hotel, Tralee, from December last year. I think I may have been in Ballyseede many moons ago but it was lovely to be there for this Christmas wedding last year. The guests had a great time with me if I may say so myself, lots of laughter! Definitely all me and nothing to do with the mulled wine!

Dublin GPO 1916 and Cars!
This caricature was for a wedding signing board last year. The groom is a big history buff, especially around 1916 and the GPO, so the GPO featured in the background! I don’t think I’ve drawn the GPO before in one of my caricatures. This A3 colour caricature was mounted on A1 board and displayed at the drinks reception of the wedding. The wedding guests signed their names and best wishes around the outside of the drawing. These signing boards are a wonderful keepsake for a wedding and I’d be delighted to hear from you if you’re looking for an unusual alternative to a wedding guestbook. Hospital Worker Surprises Patients with Caricatures
There’s a nice story on BBC News about hospital worker Edwin Andaya, who’s been drawing simple cheerful caricatures of patients on whiteboards in their rooms. It seems to be a nice surprise for the patients. Good work Edwin!
70th Birthday Present Ideas
70th Birthday Present Ideas: I didn’t have time to scan this family caricature as it was winging its way to Scotland for the seated chap in the middle’s birthday! These are one of my favourite birthday gift caricatures as I’m drawing 3 generations of one family, and the finished pieces have huge sentimental value for the subject. Families these days can be all over the world and getting together can be extremely difficult so my birthday caricatures are often family groups that haven’t been together in a while so they have grateful recipients. My caricatures are individually tailored based on a list of references my clients request to have included and it can take a while for the subject of the caricature to spot them all! There were several in this one including his favourite chair, football team and his love of crossword puzzles! I got a lovely review too:
Allan did a caricature picture for my Dads 70th birthday of all the family and grand kids. Picture turned out brilliant and was a great surprise for my Dad who got a real kick out of it. Allan was easy to deal with and came up with an excellent caricature of my Dad the way I described. His imagination is great. Thanks Allan all the best for the future.
