The forever quiet throng.

This brought me to tears.

It’s the work of Sergei Larenkov who has photoshopped images of modern St Petersburg (formerly Leningrad) taken from the same vantage as black and white shots of destroyed streets and dead bodies during the Second World War.

It’s one of the most haunting series of images I’ve ever seen.
