Wedding Storyboard: here’s a wedding storyboard/cartoon strip I did earlier this year for use on this couple’s wedding invitation. Wedding storyboards are a fun way of sharing the story of a relationship and adds something fresh, unique and original to a wedding invitation. Working from photos and a short “script” I created this bespoke storyboard/comic strip featuring significant moments from the couple’s journey to their wedding day.

Featured in this wedding storyboard is the pub where they first met, with the couple themselves depicted meeting and greeting! Next was the day he popped the question on a star-lit beach in Kos. The final panel features the all-important big day with the couple in dress and suit scooting along to the church they were to be married in! Included in this frame are signposts for the places the couple hail from, and of course a flurry of love hearts!
Working with the couple through email I was able to create a pencil rough for the storyboard they were happy with, based on a 3 frame template I use, then working from photos I caricatured the couple and put their caricature representations into each scene.
