Who? New Doctor announced by BBC

BBC have announced Matt Smith is to be the new Doctor, taking over from David Tennant. I did a quick caricature when I saw him, great hair, great cheekbones! He looks to me like a cross between Tennant and the previous incarnation, Christopher Eccleston.
While the rumours about Patterson Joseph came to naught, I really hope the one about Neil Gaiman taking over the scripting reins proves true.
