Attended Accessibility & Multi-Sensory Installations, Centre for Creative Technologies Masterclass Series

I recently attended an Accessibility & Multi-Sensory Installations workshop in Bank of Ireland Theatre, O’Donoghue Centre for Drama, Theatre & Performance, University of Galway. It explored audio-visual immersive installations, with a special emphasis on embodiment and multi-sensory engagement. Artist Jane Cassidy talked about her recent community-based projects that involved collaboration with adults who have intellectual disabilities. Artists from Arts Alive were be present to discuss their current collaborative project with Jane, which focuses on using microcontrollers to create tactile musical performance instruments.

Jane Cassidy and Arts Alive will present Tactile Tunes as part of the 2025 Galway Arts Festival this July.
