This sports-themed caricature was for a wedding celebration in Dublin recently. The couple had gotten married earlier in the year during restrictions so they had the wedding party later in the year when they were able to have guests again. The benefit of this was that I was able to work off their actual wedding photos! The bride is wearing a Liverpool FC top, with her foot on a soccer ball, while the groom is wearing a Dublin GAA jersey and holding a hurl with a sliotar nearby!
Footballer Gift Caricature ⚽
This was a gift caricature for the Captain of Seaford Rock United as a leaving gift from the team. He’s wearing the club strip and has a red armband with a C (for Captain!). He’s kicking the ball through the clubhouse window while other balls are hitting an aeroplane and a passer-by walking his dog! Meanwhile the goalie is asleep against the goalposts.
Wedding Gift Caricature for a Spanish Couple
This gift caricature went all the way to Spain to celebrate the wedding of the pictured couple. There were some nice details in this one including the traditional wedding dress and the distinctive tattoo on the bride’s ankle! There was some debate about which ankle the tattoo was on and some relations had to be enlisted to confirm! 🤣 Other details included are midwife references and clarinet and trumpet and of course, they’re pictured on a beach!
60th Birthday Gift Caricature for Christmas FM DJ!
This caricature was a 60th birthday gift. The subject here is a radio DJ for Spirit, Christmas FM, Charity and Real FM. I’ve drawn him at his desk with his headphones and mic, and his pet dog is under his arm! I’ve also included his Ooni pizza oven 🍕
Wild Atlantic Way Wedding!
This caricature was for a Wild Atlantic Way-themed wedding and was a gift from one of the guests! There are signposts for Douglas and Monkstown showing where the couple are from. There are flags for Croatia and Abu Dhabi to signify events from the couple’s lives. The bride is very into make-up, candles and handbags and loves Cork GAA so I have incorporated these as well. The groom plays golf and loves Leinster rugby and Aston Villa, both of which I have incorporated here too!
My wedding signing boards are 40x60cm canvas prints on a wooden stretcher prepared by the canvas experts in The Canvas Works in Kinsale. I ship anywhere in Ireland and marker pens are included. I am now taking signing board orders for 2022 so don’t delay as slots are limited!
Fun Wedding Caricatures during drinks reception in Listowel Arms Hotel, Kerry!
Back in July I was able to entertain the guests of Jennifer and Richard in the Listowel Arms Hotel Kerry. It also marked the first time I’d been in Kerry since March 2020, when one of my last weddings before lockdown was in the Killarney Great Southern. It felt strange to be out of the house let alone in another county! It didn’t feel strange for too long though as Kerry people are just the chattiest and I always have a ball there!
