Cork Satellite Launch: A European Space Agency (ESA) mission will be launched into space later today using technology partly developed by a Cork-based company. Proba-3 will see two satellites sent into orbit to create the first man-made solar eclipse.

Two panel cartoon on the Páirc Uí Chaoimh SuperValu Páirc Controversy. First panel depicts a black and white caricature of Pádraig Ó Caoimh. In the second panel is the same figure of Pádraig Ó Caoimh, but a white plastic bag with the name of a supermarket chain has blown on to his face.

A topical one this week commenting on the GAA in Cork wanting to remove the name of Padraig Ó Caoimh from Páirc Uí Chaoimh and rename it… SuperValu Páirc. Wild Atlantic Way Wedding!

This caricature was for a Wild Atlantic Way-themed wedding and was a gift from one of the guests! There are signposts for Douglas and Monkstown showing where the couple are from. There are flags for Croatia and Abu Dhabi to signify events from the couple’s lives. The bride is very into make-up, candles and handbags and loves Cork GAA so I have incorporated these as well. The groom plays golf and loves Leinster rugby and Aston Villa, both of which I have incorporated here too!

My wedding signing boards are 40x60cm canvas prints on a wooden stretcher prepared by the canvas experts in The Canvas Works in Kinsale. I ship anywhere in Ireland and marker pens are included. I am now taking signing board orders for 2022 so don’t delay as slots are limited!

50th Birthday Gift Caricature

50th Birthday Gift Caricature: this piece went to Cork for a 50th birthday earlier this year. The birthday girl is surrounded by her pets including a cat, a pair of alsatians, a lamb and a chicken! The hand santiser has been a feature of several pieces I’ve done recently for some reason 😀
In the background is her house, a horse and the Trawler Boyz “rolling restaurant” she runs with her 3 sons (a familiar sight around Ballycotton I believe!)
