50th Birthday Gift Caricature: this piece went to Cork for a 50th birthday earlier this year. The birthday girl is surrounded by her pets including a cat, a pair of alsatians, a lamb and a chicken! The hand santiser has been a feature of several pieces I’ve done recently for some reason 😀
In the background is her house, a horse and the Trawler Boyz “rolling restaurant” she runs with her 3 sons (a familiar sight around Ballycotton I believe!)

Grandparents’ Gift Caricature

This caricature was a gift for these grandparents and featured their cherished grandsons! It went to Wales for Christmas hence it features the red Welsh dragon in the background! This was a going away gift for a couple of teachers from their school. You might have figured out one of them is Scottish from the kilt he’s wearing and the Irn Bru he’s drinking! He’s on the piano next to a big pile of computers to repair and she’s in her sports gear with a volleyball and a pile of books! The school building is referenced in the background. My caricatures make a unique gift for many ocassions!

Personalised Wedding Signing Board Caricatures: this caricature was for one of my canvas wedding signing boards for a wedding last December. It features the couple with their interests in GAA, going to gigs, reading, and also present is their pet dog! The hotel they were married in appears in the background.
I got some nice feedback from the customer on it too:
“That signing board you did for me went down an absolute treat- they were thrilled with it, thank you so much.”

40th Birthday Gift Caricature: Queen and her Courtiers!

40th birthday gift caricature queen and ladies in waiting

This 40th Birthday caricature features a Downton Abbey fan with a fascination with all things royalty! She’s presented as a queen on her throne surrounded by her ladies-in-waiting who happen to be her best friends! She’s also a teacher so there’s a wee blackboard and chalk in there too! A complex piece to produce but the customer was very happy! There’s a few little easter eggs in there too that aren’t immediately visible but will be spotted eventually. I love putting in little not-immediately-obvious details because they can get a reaction weeks, months or even years after the caricature has been presented! My colour caricatures are drawn in Indian ink and colouring pencil, with pastel backgrounds. Customers report that the whole ordering process is very simple.
