Retirement Gifts for Women Ireland: this was a recent retirement gift caricature for the woman pictured after several decades of service in an Irish car dealership! She’s pictured at her desk with her laptop, baseball cap with the dealership name, a nice cup of tea, a calculator (with her years of service cleverly referred to on the screen!) and a huge pile of papers in her in-tray. Behind her is her golf clubs, a signpost with significant places for her including Cootehill, Donegal, and Milltown, and a framed photograph of her and her colleagues outside the dealership (I can include photographic elements if requested!)
Her jacket bears 10 lovehearts representing her own family, and her mysteriously-disappearing glasses are on her head! In front of her desk is a football with her local GAA team, a lettuce, a piano accordian, spoons (which she plays!), golf balls and golf tees, and a pair of walking boots labelled “Camino”. Finally the piece is inscribed with text wishing her a happy retirement and her years of service. Below you can see the finished piece in its frame before it set off on its well-wrapped journey to the retiring lady!
