I’m Barack Obama
I did the RTE Electoral Compass to see where I stand in the US political landscape. Based on my answers I practically am Barack Obama, although apparently I’m 5% “more progressive” than him on social issues.
I’m not getting excited about this election. I hate George Bush and I think the McCai/Palin ticket is a terrifying prospect, but I think the messianic part of the Obama act is going to be a huge anti-climax for a lot of people when he turns out to be a fallible, toe-stubbing human being. And I speak from experience as someone who stayed up all night in ‘97 watching the New Labour landslide as if I were watching the Return of the Jedi. Look where that got the world. Thanks Tony.

I’ve been having some issues with my header art since I put it up there. It was jumping around all over the place depending on browser and computer. I had a look at it in Safari on a MacBook and it was half way off the page, so I decided enough was enough. I contacted Anthony, the designer of the Darkwater theme this blog is based on, and he’d a fix for it by the following evening, for about the price of a fish supper.

Indian Outsourcing?

I got approached by an Indian animation company to see if I needed any work outsourced to them. Manufacturing and tech support outsourcing I can understand, but what does this tell us about India’s economic prowess and hunger for growth, and Indian companies perception of Ireland if they’re canvassing for business from me?
I suppose you can outsource anything to India now.
