Guest Signing Board from Cloyne Wedding!

wedding-signing-board-cork-1

This is a signing board I did for the wedding reception of Erin and Ivan in Barnabrow Country House in Cloyne, East Cork.  Had a fantastic night, was treated like an old friend, and had *a few beers…* as I was staying the night.

They booked me for live caricatures too, which went down really well! I’ll post them once I resize them.

October Weddings in January

galway-wedding-entertainment-3
I’ve a lot of catching up to do with my wedding coverage on this blog, so if you see yourself and your in the wrong wedding, forgive me, I can hardly remember who’s who any more!
In October I had 7 weddings over 2 weekends (including a Thursday) and I was in Cavan, Galway, Clare, Wexford and Wicklow over the course of a few days. These are some I did from a wedding in the always splendid Cloonacauneen Castle on the outskirts of Galway.

Donegal Wedding

I was entertaining in the Tara Hotel, Killybegs in Donegal a few weeks ago (I’ve done loads of gigs in the last few months, which leaves very little time for blogging!). I took the kids up and made a weekend of it, as I don’t really get up that often. The weather was bloody scary actually, it lashed rain and made the journey to Greencastle about 5 hours.
The trip down to Killybegs didn’t take too long though, and the manager in the Tara Hotel couldn’t have been more helpful, he was even rounding guests up for me while I was drawing! I’d a great spot, looking out over the harbour, and my sitters sat in front of the window while the rest of the guests peered down from the balcony behind me. There was plenty of catcalling, until it was their turn to sit for me! Great craic and a lovely bunch of guests.

Got there in the end

Last weekend I brought my wedding entertainment to Adare, Co. Limerick for a drinks reception.
Or at least I tried to.
The drive from Galway to Limerick is at most an hour and a half since the Ennis bypass opened. I was due to start drawing at 4pm in the Woodlands Hotel. At 3.30 I still hadn’t reached Gort. It took me 40 minutes to get from Oranmore to Clarinbridge, a distance of 6 kilometres. I ended up ringing the hotel and offering to do the after dinner stint instead. I turned around and was back in Galway in 30 minutes. This despite the fact I had pretty much chewed my steering wheel off in frustration!
Well I made good time when I made my second attempt to reach the hotel, and the couple were lovely, and very understanding about the traffic situation and I’d a great night with the guests.
No matter how much planning you do though, sometimes the traffic gods just decide you’re not going to get there on time.

More Wedding Signing Boards

Here are 2 of my wedding signing boards that went out this week. They’re instead of a wedding guestbook, and are proving very popular with bride and groom and guests too! The artwork can be used on wedding invitations as well. If you’d like to order one for your wedding or as a wedding present, you can me here for prices and details.
