Ashley Park House Wedding Entertainment: here’s some of the fun from the weekend in the historical surrounds of Ashley Park House in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary! To the best of my knowledge this was my first time in this lakeside venue and it was absolutely lovely, with that early spring light bouncing off the lake and diffusing through the windows of the drinks reception area. The venue has history baked into the walls, I really enjoyed walking around and seeing all the antique details after I’d set up and was waiting for the guests to arrive.
The original house of Ashley Park was built around 1700, a gentry house on land to the north of the lough. Today’s house sits by Lough Ourna, the middle of which is a small island. On the island is the ruin of an old stone tower, a corner of a larger structure dating back to some time in the middle ages. – From the history of Ashley Park.
