Always lovely to have a local booking and this wedding was only out the road in the Twelve Hotel Barna! Thanks to all the guests who sat for me for being so enthusiastic and having so many laughs! Some dates left for 2022 and 2023 is starting to fill up so if you’re getting married in Galway or anywhere else in the country and want something unusual and fun to entertain your guests during the drinks reception look no further than my live wedding caricatures! Each couple takes just 5 minutes and the A3 paper is printed with the names of the couple and the date of their wedding so each guest who sits for me goes away with a lovely fun momento of the big day!

Cork Wedding Entertainment, Fernhill House Clonakilty
Cork Wedding Entertainment: here’s a selection of live wedding caricatures from a recent wedding in Clonakilty. Fernhill House is a beautiful secluded hotel just outside Clon and has amazing grounds. I was drawing in the garden marquee where the wedding ceremony was during the drinks reception and it was such a lovely setting to be drawing in! An ideal drawing situation for me is one where I can talk to the guests as I draw them and I had that on this day, with a large group of guests spectating behind me as I drew. As you can see from the laughter my wedding caricatures go down really well with the wedding guests! The newlyweds are firefighters and there was a fire engine there for their wedding photos, unfortunately I didn’t get a go but it did drive around Clonakilty with them on board! Thanks to the management and staff of Fernhill house for being so welcoming and accomodating, I had a lovely day myself! I can’t stop saying how great it is to be drawing live caricatures at weddings again, I really missed the best part of my career which is meeting and drawing hundreds of people all over Ireland every week!

It’s so great to be almost back to normal at weddings and the buzz these days is just amazing. So much fun with these people on Saturday and it’s clear that people are loving being able to see each other in numbers again. Wedding Caricatures Jack’s Old Cottage Mayo
One of my first weddings back after lockdown was in Jack’s Old Cottage in Islandeady near Castlebar, a meticulously restored cottage museum in the heart of the Mayo countryside. After the long gap in live wedding caricatures due to lockdown I’m always anxious I’ll have forgotten how to do it but as you can see from the gallery below I think I’ve still got it! Each couple below took less than five minutes to draw. I suppose it’s like learning to ride a bike, once you can draw quick caricatures live you never forget! The cottage is open to the public and is free to visit and is worth stopping by if you’re in the area.
