Charlie Adley’s Double Vision – ADVENTURES IN SPACE, CONNEMARA, TIME AND WHISKEY!
“Be it whiskical or mystical, little is what it appears to be, here in the west of Ireland!” Hourglass cartoon for the latest Double Vision column by Charlie Adley, featuring losing a great deal of time on Omey Island, so much so that the tide came back in…
This was the second version of this cartoon. The original had the word bollocks repeated in the background, as a cosmic echo of Charlie’s words, like the time Arthur Dent caused an invasion of Earth by absentmindedly saying “I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle.”
It didn’t really land though and I gave it a matte black background instead, which I think is less distracting and makes the hourglass part of the cartoon stand out more. You can see the original hourglass cartoon below.
This cartoon if used would have held the Guinness World Record for the most uses of the word bollocks in a cartoon.
