It’s been ages since I updated my live stuff, so here’s a wedding from last year in Connemara. I remember it well as I almost ran out of petrol on the way!
“…but I’m talking English, ye eedjit!”
I was in the Connemara Coast Hotel last week. The hotel had an evening for organisations that have put business their way in the past year, with a band, food drinks and caricature artist! I’ve a few action shots here courtesy of Aengus McMahon. Shouldn’t look so worried. See? 😀
“When I lived in Connemara, I used to frequent (the old) Keogh’s pub in Ballyconneely.
I was green back then, and by that I don’t mean pure unadulterated paddy: I mean that, as an Englishman new to an Irish village, I smiled a lot, kept my head down, myself to myself (with the notable exception of the local Chelsea posse) and pretty much did what I was told.”
