RTE Drivetime: Why Do Illustrators Get Asked to Work for Free?

I spoke to RTE Drivetime’s Liam Geraghty (who also hosts the excellent Meet Your Maker podcast which I reviewed here) about the phenomenon of people asking for work for free from artists. I’m at the very end which suits me well as I love having the final say. Don’t work for free folks. It’s expected in the creative industries for whatever reason and it needs to be stopped.
