Johnstown Estate Wedding Entertainment: I was back in the heart of Meath at the weekend at my latest wedding in the fabulous Johnstown Estate! While this is a venue I know well I had to do a double-take when I entered as this familiar midlands wedding reception venue was tranformed into a whole new space after its recent refurbishment! Apparently the refurb happened about 2 years ago which is around the last time I was there for a wedding, so I’d not seen the newly decorated and extended space.
I found a new place to set up and I was not long waiting for my first sitters to outrageous peals of laughter! Of course once I start drawing there’s no stopping me and I draw right up until the dinner bell so as you can see from the gallery below I had many happy sitters in the time! Unusually I got the bride and groom first as they came straight to me once exiting the ceremony room, I was set up right in their path; you might think I’d already thought of that but I couldn’t possibly comment. 😀
Below you can see some of the many caricatures I drew on the day. Each duo below took less than 4 minutes, and I kept them chatting while I drew too. Who says men can’t multitask!
