Waterford Castle Wedding Entertainment: part two of my busy weekend brought me from Kildare to Waterford via Kilkenny! On Friday night I stayed in the fantastic Langtons Hotel right in the middle of Kilkenny city. That was my second time staying there (I’ve done loads of weddings there!) and it’s a fabulous place, I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a break in Kilkenny. The next morning who did I bump in to but wedding singer Barry Hughes, who was arriving in Langtons to set up for a wedding that day!
We had a good chat (Barry saved my life once when my car broke down) and then I departed for wedding two of the weekend, in the private splendour of Waterford Castle!

After the short trip over on the ferry I spotted another brilliant wedding entertainer I know, mindreader and magician Oisin Foley! Another quick chinwag then Oisin was off warming up the aces up his sleeves with some of the staff before the guests arrived, and as I had a little time beforehand too, I did a couple of warmup sketches of some of the staff as well! (If anybody asks it was my idea ok?) You can see the staff caricatures after the gallery of some of the wedding guest caricatures I did on the day, below! Each caricature featuring two people you see in the below photos took under 4 minutes! The paper is also printed with the names of the couple and the date of the wedding so these drawings make a great memento of the day as well as being massive craic at the time!
