Padraig Conneely- Down with this sort of thing!

Padraig Conneely is proving a big hit nationally, if the traffic I’ve been getting for his name is anything to go by.
Padraig, all you’ve done is draw attention to this dump and probably increased its clientele. You could very easily have reported it without fanfare to the Guards or the Irish Film Censor, but instead you publicly beat the Conneely drum to maximise publicity for yourself, at the cost of giving this “cinema” national exposure.
Another Conneely coup.

Hobbits in Barna Woods?

Came across this when walking in Barna Woods a few weeks ago. It stood about 2 and a half feet tall and was very well constructed and had a campfire in front of it. I wonder if someone is living in the woods?

Wedding Entertainment in Mulranny, Co. Mayo

I’ve been very busy the last while so I’m just catching up on my blog posts. Weddings weddings weddings! I was in the Park Inn Hotel Mulranny last week for the wedding of Fiona and Vincent. I’ve done a couple of weddings in the Park Inn at this stage, the view from the hotel of Clew Bay is simply stunning.
You can see more examples of my wedding entertainment below. If you’d like to contact me to entertain at your wedding or corporate event drop me a line!

This week’s Double Vision.

Charlie’s article this week is a eulogy to his dad, who passed away last week.

The Connacht Tribune, which I contribute to, is shutting its printing press in July with the loss of 16 jobs.

“The printing operation has been in existence in Galway city for almost 100 years and has printed other regional and national newspapers as well as its own publications.

The firm has blamed the closure on an increased demand for full colour newspapers and earlier printing deadlines, which it can no longer meet.”

It’s one of the tragedies of modern work practices that the local, small scale, artisan model is no longer sustainable. I loved the fact that everything in the Tribune was under the same roof, and I really get the impression of a living organism when I call into the newsroom (not that I frequently have to as this new-fangled email means I can work up to the last available minute if I have to). Regards to the 16, and good luck.
