Caricatures from MBNA Bank in Carrick-on-Shannon

corporate-entertainment-1.jpg I was entertaining earlier this month in the MBNA Bank in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. I’ve been up that way before to entertain at a wedding on the Moon River boat. It was the staff’s first day back after the Christmas so myself and three magicians went up there to make sure there were no January blues! It went down a treat as well. Some more caricatures are below.

No Country for Old Men

I went to see the new Coen Brothers film on Saturday. It’s a relentless study of time, chance, morality, landscape and murder set in Texas in 1980. It won’t be to everyone’s taste (they seemed to be staying away in droves at the Galway Omniplex) but if you appreciate expertly shot films that are given enough time to unfold rather than rushing to some effects-laden ending you’ll appreciate this. Javier Bardem will make you require a clean set of underwear (best bring ‘em with you) and you’ll never see such a sadistic use of compressed air anywhere else.

No Country for Old Men site.

My Saturday night is never complete until…

I absolutely refuse to leave Roisin Dubh’s until I’ve heard Battles‘ Atlas. This tune is like eating a 5 course dinner while getting a shoulder massage.
