Galway Canal being creepy

Galway’s been experiencing a lot of strange cloying fogs as of late. I took this a few weeks ago near Parkavara, the fog hung about a foot deep above the water, unmoving but for the occasional tendril that crept up on a breeze.

Stocking filler suggestions

Some of you (and indeed, me) will be running around this weekend looking for last minute gifts. I have two recommendations.

I reviewed it here, and it’s available from bookshops. It’s a jolly good romp for the 8-12 age group.
